BOOK REVIEW ― Royally Screwed (Royally #1) by Emma Chase

"Nicholas Arthur Frederick Edward Pembrook, Crowned Prince of Wessco, aka His Royal Hotness, is wickedly charming, devastatingly handsome, and unabashedly arrogant; hard not to be when people are constantly bowing down to you.

Then, one snowy night in Manhattan, the prince meets a dark haired beauty who doesn't bow down. Instead, she throws a pie in his face.

Nicholas wants to find out if she tastes as good as her pie, and this heir apparent is used to getting what he wants.

Dating a prince isn't what waitress Olivia Hammond ever imagined it would be.

There's a disapproving queen, a wildly inappropriate spare heir, relentless paparazzi, and brutal public scrutiny. While they've traded in horse drawn carriages for Rolls Royces, and haven't chopped anyone's head off lately, the royals are far from accepting of this commoner.

But to Olivia, Nicholas is worth it.

Nicholas grew up with the whole world watching, and now Marriage Watch is in full force. In the end, Nicholas has to decide who he is and, more importantly, who he wants to be: a King... or the man who gets to love Olivia forever."

descriptionI was known before I was born and my name will be blazoned in history long after I’m dust in the ground. Infamy is temporary, celebrity is fleeting, but royalty…royalty is forever.

The first question that every reader asks another is: Was this book good? Is it worth the money?

The short answer for this is YES!!!
The long answer? Of course it is! Royally Screwed is the perfect blend of sexy, charming, romantic with a dash of sufficient humor that makes this book a perfect read! I had no idea what I was getting myself into when I signed up for this book. The only thing that I knew was the blurb and the author, who does not and did not disappoint with her new book.

Once you get pulled into the lavish royal world of the prince and princesses and parties, the only way for you to get out is when you finish the book. Emma has created a decadent world in this book, which is so utterly charming, it attracts you to it.

Emma Chase has undoubtedly delivered yet another fantastic read!

In a nutshell, in Royally Screwed Emma Chase has presents the rags and riches of the world —A modern day Cinderella, where Prince Nicholas is forced by his Queen to find a bride and that too not an ordinary one. No. There is a list of stipulations given by the Queen that the bride has to live up to, to even be considered. But before Nicholas can even get settled with this idea, he is to first bring his wayward younger brother back home from New York. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how one of the greatest Royal love story starts.

In New York, Nicholas comes across Olivia, who is beautiful, feisty, hardworking and has been all by herself for a very long time. She is also a commoner. Their start wasn't great but it was dam hilarious! Not knowing exactly who Nicholas was, she went toe to toe with him and always had a hilarious comeback for all his innuendos and then some.

But you know, you've got to hand it to Nicholas, he was persistent wherever Olivia was concerned and he eventually, and by eventually I mean a LOT of charm (there might have been kids involved), he broke her down and the first date happened, which I can attest to and say was just do Nicholas and Olivia!

What finally happened between Nicholas and Olivia was something beautiful, easy and very passionate. There were highs and quite a number of lows but these two held on... Until one of them snapped and their fairytale romance was shattered.

"Royalty is forever"
But is it worth the heartache? Worth the doubt? The sleepless nights wondering if it is for you?

descriptionIf you were told that the world as you knew it—life as you knew it—would end in five months, what would you do? You’d make the most of the time you had left, of course. Do everything you wanted to do—everyone you wanted to do—for as long as you could. Until time was up. Well…looks like I’ve got a plan, after all.

Harry, Simon, Marty and Franny. Every single character was a joy to read. I was and still am so in love with this modern day Cinderella. It is romantic, charming, decadent and all around an amazing read!
