BOOK REVIEW — Filthy Gods (American Gods, #0.5) by R. Scarlett

descriptionI had agreed to a summer affair with my boss’s son and biggest rival. A deal with the enemy.

I. CAN'T. EVEN! It's been DAYS and I still can't stop thinking about this novella! I was enamoured from the very first line, heck from the moment I saw the cover and I have two words — FANGIRL DOWN!

The privileged Nathaniel Radcliff and the less fortunate Juliette Monroe together have a spark between them that is just waiting to be lit.

Both students of Yale, Nathaniel and Juliette are two extremely headstrong individuals who spar on a regular basis in class debates, they thrive on rattling each other's cage.
Nathaniel loves to see the fire in Juliette every time and Juliette loves to bring the untouchable God down. They challenge each other on every step of the way.

One summer away from Yale in the country club owned by the Radcliff matriarch starts an affair between the Radcliff heir and the maid which is as decadent as it is forbidden arrangement that leaves wanting to conquer Juliette in the way he has always wanted her.

With this novella, R. Scarlett packs a solid punch. It has EVERYTHING and it's done just perfectly.

descriptionI had fallen for a god and I had to give him up to keep his immortality. The summer was over and so were we.

Filthy Gods sets the foundation for the future books in this series and I for one, can't wait to indulge in this sinfully decadent world of the upper-class society.

Cover to cover, I LOVED Filthy Gods but the epilogue takes the cake. That epilogue was EVERYTHING I had hoped for them and as for Nathaniel and Juliette, they've cemented their place in my favourites.
