BOOK REVIEW ― Royally Matched by Emma Chase

Some men are born responsible, some men have responsibility thrust upon them. Henry John Edgar Thomas Pembrook, Prince of Wessco, just got the motherlode of all responsibility dumped in his regal lap.

He’s not handling it well.

Hoping to help her grandson to rise to the occasion, Queen Lenora agrees to give him "space"—but while the Queen’s away, the Prince will play. After a chance meeting with an American television producer, Henry finally makes a decision all on his own:

Welcome to Matched: Royal Edition.

A reality TV dating game show featuring twenty of the world's most beautiful blue bloods gathered in the same castle. Only one will win the diamond tiara, only one will capture the handsome prince’s heart.

While Henry revels in the sexy, raunchy antics of the contestants as they fight, literally, for his affection, it’s the quiet, bespectacled girl in the corner—with the voice of an angel and a body that would tempt a saint—who catches his eye.

The more Henry gets to know Sarah Mirabelle Zinnia Von Titebottum, the more enamored he becomes of her simple beauty, her strength, her kind spirit... and her naughty sense of humor.

But Rome wasn’t built in a day—and irresponsible royals aren’t reformed overnight.

As he endeavors to right his wrongs, old words take on whole new meanings for the dashing Prince. Words like, Duty, Honor and most of all—Love.

Rating & Review

descriptionWhat a strange pair we are. The sad boy and the frightened girl.

There are times when you pick up a book and have a lot of expectations from it and then there are times you pick up a book without any expectations but to simply see where the journey will take you. I jumped into Royally Matched without any expectations because, like I said, I wanted to see where this book would take me and boy did I have one hell of a ride!

Two words... MAGICALLY FANTASTIC! I mean, I thought Royally Screwed was good but it does not even come up to the feelings I had when I finished Royally Matched. Emma has outdone herself with Henry and Sarah's story. It was so sweet and sexy and pretty perfect if I do say so myself. Once I started, I just wasn't ready to put it down!

Henry Pembrook is used to living his life to the fullest without a care in the world. As the younger sibling, Henry didn't have the same responsibilities as his older brother Nicholas. Well, until Nicholas revoked his position as the future King and now Henry was thrust into the life of rules and regulations and looking after his country.

descriptionIf I’m supposed to be the Great Royal Hope for my country, we’re all well and truly fucked.

After a little mistake, Henry decides that he needs to get away from all things Royal. Staying on the outskirts of his country all alone, Henry is propositioned for a reality TV show Matched: Royal Edition and Henry jumps at this opportunity. I mean, with twelve ladies vying to be the queen what could go wrong, right? *taps fingers*

Enter Sarah Titebottum. Sarah is a shy bookworm who loves to keep to herself. She has two best friends and works at the library which she loves! Sarah's sister, Penny Titebottum is approached to be one of the twelve contestants in Matched along with Sarah and Sarah says no right away. But you see, Penny wants to go. Badly. This is her stepping one foot into the stardom of acting that she always wanted. And Penny can go only if Sarah goes to keep an eye on Penny and support her.

Every single thing about the TV show overwhelms Henry and before the shooting of the very first scene Henry tries to get away to get a reprieve from all the madness that was about to ensue and he meets the one person that understands and calms him down like no other. Sarah.
A chance meeting behind a tree at the top of the hill turned Sarah and Henrey life upside down in the most amazing way possible!

descriptionOnce upon a time, a pitiful lad met a shy, lovely lass and together they became something more . . . something strong and beautiful and forever. And one night he sang her a song, in a fantastic rickety old pub—a song with a question in it. And after he played the very last note, she said yes a thousand times.

I didn't think Emma could top Royally Screwed but love being wrong about these kinds of things. Royally Matched is utterly beautiful, witty and just the right amount of sexy. And you will adore Henry and Sarah together!
