Title: His Angel (Angel Trilogy #1)

HOOKED!!!
That's what I was since I read the excerpt of His Angel at the back of Blush

This book is Kimberly Blalock's first novel ever and I have to say, the past year I read many books by debut authors and His Angel succeeded in becoming my favorite among the other debut books.

This story definitely keeps you wondering.. For me it did, I literally had theories that I shared with Kimberly and its good to know that I got two right!! Yay me!

There is action, drama, love, hot-sex, and one extremely tall-dark and handsome Evan Young! Phew, that guy is just amazing. *Where can I find myself an Evan?* He was absolutely sweet. He was charming to the T. Oh yeah, but that's not it. Evan comes with a past of his own, he has to lie to protect and when the truth comes out everything falls apart literally.

Amy. Now this is one character that you will love. She is the female protagonists, Abby, best-friend, momma-bear, in a way her "soul mate." She is brutal, harsh, blunt and is willing to kill anyone that would come between her best-friends happiness, even if it means setting Ethan straight.

For me personally, the almost ending was my absolute favorite part of the book. The drama, the action, the angst that makes you keep wanting more and more.

I would definitely recommend it to everyone.
Yup.
This is definitely started with a bang!!

"You know how people say they woke up in Vegas married and you're like, how the hell could that possibly happen? Who does that? Well, us apparently… and the press is having a field day.

Let's not even get started on the topic of my mother. Then there's my grandpa wanting to meet my new husband--that's not scary at all. On top of that, we're heading out on tour and I'm a nervous wreck--factor in the fact that Jesse's newly changed marital status doesn't seem to be an issue for the groupies. Nothing deters them. Not even the fact that I'm standing right there when they proposition him.

I can handle the press, my mom, and even my grandpa. But the women who are ruining my current mood of "happy", well, they've got another thing coming. It's time to put these women in their place because nobody messes with my happily ever after. "

My Thoughts

I LOVED IT! Like really loved it.

The book continues from where Falling Down finished. Jesse and Lucy are married and in for a wild ride, the paparazzi, the fans or 'groupie whores' to be exact and the life long Russo-Mazzini rivalry.

“I’m a firm believer people don’t know what they want until they get it” Anne you really need to send a copy to M.Shadows. Like really. He would feel so special

This time Anne has incorporated quotes at the starting of every chapter which will make you think
(totally opposite of what she wants) They actually summarize every chapter, every feeling.

"I've got ninety-nine problems, but a bitch ain't one."

There are some very 'philosophical' quotes. Like the one below...

"Love is friendship that has caught fire. It is quiet understanding, mutual confidence, sharing and forgiving. It is loyalty through good and bad times. It settles for less than perfection and makes allowances for human weaknesses."

The author stays true to what she said. She wanted a book with minimal angst and she delivered that. Cheers!
The humor and songs were AMAZING! AMAZE-BALLS! HILARIOUS! and we all know who is clown of the group... You don't? Well its none other than....

Xander Mackenzie also known as 'Xan my man.' This guy is the class clown. He is funny, charming, sweet, and completely adorable.

“Are y’all fuckin’ in there?” Xander asks, sounding country.
“Maybe,” Jesse answers with a smirk.
“Will it be time for Lucy’s meds again soon?”I look at the clock. “In an hour. Why?”
“Then you've got an hour. I like stoned Lucy.”
Lucy smiles softly. “I’ll be there, Xan my man.”
“Come hard, Luce my goose.”
“Xander,” she chides.
“Too far?” he asks with a smile in his voice.
“Just a little bit.”
“Still.” He pauses.
“Come hard and come often, oh married ones.” His voice trails off.

This time around we even heard the 'voices' of Kennedy and Ethan.
Oh but wait! There is this huge chunk which is shocking. I didn't even see it coming! I mean Damien and Cage are.... Sorry. Evil, I know but for that you will have to read the book. And lastly, Mama Russo. How can one forget her? She is truly an amazing mom who would do anything for her children(s)

The second half of the book is really interesting. If you are looking for a book that is angst free, where the protagonists are completely in love with a crazy ass Italian family and equally crazy friends then this is the book for you.

I knew a guy named Xander
I guess you could say he was a sex fiend
Met him in a hotel lobby Masturbating with a magazine
He said how’d you like to waste some time
And I could not resist when I saw little Xander grind

Falling Down (Rockstar, #1)Falling Down by Anne Mercier

"I was twelve when I started crushing on him.

I was seventeen when I met him by chance and our connection was made.

Now here I am, twenty-three, and I'm one of the two actresses in the video for his band's latest single.

Jesse Kingston is a tall, dark, and gorgeous temptation I'm finding hard to resist. It ends up not being as simple as doing a job and going home. It can't be when he continually makes his presence known with his not-so-innocent touches and sexy words. There is no avoiding him and after spending so much time with him, I'm not sure I want to.

So, when he proposes a weekend together, knowing I should say no, I throw caution to the wind and instead I say yes. I'm going to ignore the warning signs and do what I normally wouldn't--I'm going to give in to my desire. I'm going to indulge my fantasies and give this sexy rocker what he wants and something he won't forget--me.

The only question is: Is one weekend going to be enough? Will our time end up changing this bad boy? Or will it end up changing me?"

My Thoughts

This book had everything!

* 5 ridiculously hot, sexy as sin rockstars

* An Academy award winning actress

* One top and famous model

* Loyal friends

* and hoards and hoards of laughter

But first,
OMG!!!!! Jesse Kingston! *swoon* Now like I said before, ridiculously hot, sexy singer of the band Falling Down. I loved him. He literally oozes sexiness.

Lucy, before she was an Academy award winning actress, she was a regular teenage girl who had a major crush on Jesse. She met him at the age of 12 at an airport and the sparks flew instantly.

I guess maybe Taylor Swift's song Spark's Fly could be applied here.

Now after 6 years *I think. I forgot* she meets Jesse again for recording a music video. And from there starts a love story which is full of chemistry, laughter and lots, and lots, and lots of naughty sex!

This book is bucket full of laughter. From the first chapter to the last line of the book, there was a constant smile on my face, even midst that little angst.

This is a story about people coming together and becoming friends, and in that process they became a family. The transition of the Falling Down boys, Trace and Melody coming together and making their own place in Lucy, Sera and Jace's close knit family is beautiful.

Each and everyone of them fought for their dreams, fought for each others dreams, stood up for each other and most importantly the love they shared in such a short time.

All in all, it was a beautiful story of love, laughter, family and friendship

She Writes Love by Sandi Lynn | BOOK REVIEW

My Thoughts

Books always leave an impression on a person who reads it but there are some books that leave you with a sense of calm after you read them.

‘She Writes Love’ was that for me.

It literally took me a couple of hours to finish this book and I can say that I loved every single minute of it.

Paisley, at the age of 27, lost her husband to massive heart attack on their one-year anniversary. Even after a year she hurts for him and can’t seem to move own.
She works as a columnist, known as ‘Dear Paisley’, for LA Times.

Every Saturday, since the day everything came crashing down she writes letters to her dead husband ending the letters with ‘Love forever, Paisley.’

These letters are more than just letters to her husband. They were a deeper insight to the emotions that Paisley keeps hidden from everyone, everyone except Ben.

Ben lost his wife Amy to a cervical cancer after a five year marriage. Now he works as a firefighter and in his free time makes furniture.

A chance encounter brings them together at a group therapy session. And this was the start of something beautiful.

As the book progresses, the bond between Ben and Paisley evolves.

Any relationship that ends tragically, there is always a loving and supporting family behind them.
Paisley’s mom and dad, her sisters- Charlotte and Piper and her brother Keaton have been supportive of her. Even they are over bearing, they want nothing but the best for her.
But the relationship that stands out is that of Keaton and Paisley.

Ben’s mom, dad and brother want nothing more for him but to move on with his life and who better than Paisley.

But,
The road to love was not easy for them. A small but poignant moment made Paisley re- think about her life.

Midst all of this, there was one person who made a huge difference.

David.

He was, in no other better term, an angel in disguise.
He was the acting force between the commencement of Ben and Paisley’s relationship. He was the one giving advice to Ben and pushing him to talk and go out with Paisley.

He knew what it meant to lose someone he loved.

And do you want to know who David is??
Well, for you to find that out, you will have to read it but the one thing I can tell you is that when you read further you might know who he is.

‘She Writes Love’ is more than just the title of the book. It’s the story of a man and woman who are on the journey to re-discover their lives after a tragic accident forever altered them.

It’s a story about moving on.

A story about re-discovering life.

A story about living again.

A story….about finding love again.

5 Stars!
