I think the term mindf@ck was created to explain Pepper Winters style of writing. Doubt, fear, and unease are all symptoms of the disease. If you have read Crown of Lies, you have been infected. I have no doubt that you spent the entire book wondering...
Wondering about that night. About Nameless. About so many different clues.
But in the end, the lies and truths won't save you. Doubt, fear, and shame won't keep you. You will be trapped. Trapped in a web of half -truths, lies, and disbelief. Trust...
Trust has to be given. It can be earned but never forced. So who will you trust? The lies, the truth, or your gut.
